Reid Baker, CERA, ASA

Principal Data Consultant - ForAll Investment Research Inc.

Reid (he/him) founded ForAll Investment Research and is the creator of the ForAll Indices. Prior to that he had been working with investment fund data in the Financial Services industry for over 13 years working with and leading a great team of analysts. He put his statistical expertise to use, dug into the data, and he and his team created industry leading tools and metrics to evaluate funds based on performance, risk, and ESG characteristics. Products that helped investors and advisors choose the best funds to suit their needs.   

For a decade, Reid took the reins as the Chair of the Canadian Investment Funds Standards Committee (CIFSC) overseeing the categorization process for the Canadian investment fund landscape and initiating the committee’s Responsible Investment Identification Framework. He was relied upon as an expert to speak on  panels at industry conferences, write articles for magazines, give quotes for newspapers, and appeared on BNN.

Reid has a B.Sc. in Actuarial Sciences and Finance from the University of Alberta. He has attained the Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA) and Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designations from the Society of Actuaries and completed the Sustainable Investing Program at the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University.

Reid loves his family, trees, music, Thai food, donuts and of course data. As a sports enthusiast, he loved to play baseball and basketball, but now sticks to the less athletically demanding sports of golf and curling. He coaches soccer for his kids despite having never played.
